Rivers Solomon, a UK based American author is the next writer to join the growing family of #Merky Books, Stormzy’s imprint with Penguin Books.

Making their writing debut in 2017 with An Unkindness of Ghosts, the novel was an instant hit, winning a Firecracker Award, appearing on the Stonewall Honor List, and was also included on the Guardian's Best of the Year list for 2017. Solomon’s #Merky Books debut, Sorrowland, follows a black mother with albinism who discovers her body is metamorphosing after escaping a religious compound. The ‘genre-bending’ novel is slated for a spring/summer of 2021 release.
